Investor Information

ORT's state-of-the-art automated biomolecular and clinical laboratory is staffed with expert scientists and technicians dedicated to providing
superior services to the cancer patient and the medical, academic, and
clinical communities.

ORT Inc. is a biotechnology company focused on the business of individualizing chemotherapy (with eventuation into radiotherapy) thereby dramatically improving outcomes for cancer patients. The Company is projected to become one of the leading sources of cancer information and analyses with an analogous and parallel database of patient chemo-resistance/sensitivity (in vitro/in vivo) profiles; biochemical and genetic (RNA) profiles; and patient matching serum/plasma/leukocyte profiles. Moreover, the Company is building a viable tumor specimen collection for distribution to interested scientists and clinicians. ORT Physician Services uses proprietary sophisticated technologies to provide patient-specific cancer diagnostic and prognostic information to oncologists in hospitals and oncology practices.

As of January 2005, cancer has now become the number one killer of Americans under the age of 85, surpassing deaths caused by heart disease. ORT is committed to advancing the science and practice of oncology therapeutics, with a strong emphasis on improving patient outcomes, enhancing patient quality and quantity of life.

The Business Units
ORT Laboratories/Chemo-resistance/sensitivity Assay: ORT is a leader in delineating the entire cellular composition of solid tumors. Thus, specimens are shipped in ORT holding/maintenance medium and sent to our headquarters in Amherst, New York. They undergo mechanical disaggregation, are subjected to drugs, single and in combination, and chemo-resistance/sensitivity profile determined. The results will be sent (faxed) within 5 days of receiving the specimen, to determine optimum treatment.

Many decades of chemotherapy has proven to be largely ineffective at treating patients presenting with cancer regardless of the tumors stage or the patient’s age at time of treatment as morbidity and mortality continue to rise. Current literature points out that cancer patients administered chemotherapy post in vitro evaluation, respond more favorably to the treatment with resultant decreased toxicity.

This communiqué contains forward-looking statements about ORT’s projected growth and its plans for expansion. ORT’s ability to achieve its projected growth is dependent on a variety of factors, many of which are outside of management’s control. Some of the most significant factors, alone or in combination, would be the failure to facilitate interest in proprietary technology successfully, unanticipated disagreements with ORT’s joint venture partners, an unanticipated slowdown in the health care industry (as a result of cost containment measures, changes in governmental regulation or other factors), an unanticipated failure in the commercialization of ORT’s evolving outcomes-oriented database, or an unanticipated loss of business. Accordingly, there can be no assurances that ORT will achieve its goals for expansion and growth.
